Catamaran Sighting in Coinjock, NC

I stopped by the Coinjock Canal a couple of weeks ago to see what boats were passing through. I spotted this catamaran as it went by the Coinjock Marina Restaurant, and then drove down the road to the boat launch area, where it passed by again. Such a pretty boat. The folks on board seemed to be having a good time. Who knows where they were headed. Perhaps out for an afternoon sailing on the Currituck Sound. Or perhaps further.

That’s one of the cool things about the boats you see along that canal (officially the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal). There are boats of all shapes and sizes, some passing south and some north, each with unique destinations.
